The program

Everything is planned before you book a flight.

Personalized evaluation of functional rhinoplasty, septoplasty and nasal breathing by video call · Treatment plan tailored to you · Pre-operative preparation from home · SER Protocol integration · Surgery at Hospital Galenia · Guided recovery · Follow-up with Escuela de Sueño

It is not a nose. It is a system.

The nose is never treated as an isolated organ. It regulates sleep, performance and recovery — so the whole airway is evaluated before anything is planned.

Aesthetics follow function.

Functional rhinoseptoplasty corrects the septum, the nasal valve and the turbinates while harmonizing the external shape. Form follows function — always.

Every nose has its own architecture.

There is no standard nose and no single technique. Structure, mucosa, nasal valve, facial proportion and your own goals decide what is done — and what is left untouched.

Surgery is a tool, not the destination.

What happens before and after the operating room matters as much as the surgery itself. That is what the SER Protocol is for.

Your surgeon

Dr. Jorge Barbachano Torres

Your body is not broken. It just needs help getting back what it lost.
Dr. Jorge Barbachano Torres, ENT surgeon, at his practice in Hospital Galenia, Cancún
1,500+ Functional rhinoplasties

At 19, after his first year of medical school, his body collapsed across more than one organ. He was told his heart would not work for more than five years. Breathing was the door he used to rebuild — sleep, nutrition, movement, training. Today he competes in triathlon, marathon, open water swimming, CrossFit and Hyrox.

He has spent 11+ years in exclusive practice of functional rhinoseptoplasty, and co-created the SER Protocol (Sleep · Balance · Breathing) with Dr. Lili Padilla, a sleep medicine specialist. He lives what he operates on.

FAQ

What patients ask before traveling to Cancún

How much does a rhinoplasty cost in Cancún, Mexico?

The cost depends on your nasal structure and the scope of the surgery, so it isn't quoted without an evaluation. The video evaluation costs the same as an in-person visit and includes your personalized treatment plan.

How long should I stay in Cancún after nose surgery?

Most patients traveling in plan for 8 to 10 days: surgery, splint removal around day 7, and a final in-person check before flying home. There is a hotel right next to Hospital Galenia, and Cancún has direct flights from most major US and Canadian cities.

Do I need to travel for the first consultation?

No. The first evaluation is a video consultation. We review your clinical history, your breathing and your goals, and build the surgical plan before you book a flight.

Is the consultation available in English?

Yes. Consultations, surgical planning and follow-up are available in English and Spanish. WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach the practice.

Get started

Your nose is where your life comes in.

Surgery can be the step that unlocks everything else — but it is a step, not the finish line. What follows is learning to breathe, to sleep and to hold the balance you recovered. Let's start with an evaluation.
